Often compared with New World Shiraz wines due to its sweet tannins and plum or peppery flavours, Nero dAvola is the most important grape variety in this part of Italy.
Well rounded wine nice and fruity but easy to drink.

Solid value and tasty wine
Very good price for a good Italian red. Enough acidity without being overpowering allowing the fruit flavours to come through. A good option for chilling but a lot more flavour released when it's been open at room temperature for a fair few hours.

Quaffable with meat and cheese
I could write well balanced - but what on earth does that mean! Enjoyed this wine with home made burgers but think it would go better with cold meats and cheese. Slightly sweet for me but that’s not a complaint.
